Benefits Administrator-Higher Education

Our client, a major university in Boston, has an immediate need for a Benefits Administrator to assist with identifying the best group benefits programs.  Alongside the Benefits Manager, you are responsible for directing and planning the day-to-day operations of group benefits programs including health, dental, vision, short-term and long term disability, worker’s compensation, 401k, and life insurance.  This position also requires the right candidate provide excellent customer service as you will interact with all faculty and staff and help design the best benefit plan for each individual.  This is a direct hire opening and is an exciting opportunity to work within a dynamic university setting.

- Partner with Benefits Manager to research employee benefits plans and vendors to identify those that present the best value
- Design, recommend, and implement benefits programs
- Consult with faculty and staff regarding their benefits via phone and email
- Assist in annual contract renewals for all plans
- Oversee regular plan audits and resolve complex claim problems
- Administer leaves of absence and disability programs and ensure compliance with FMLA.
- Other Administrative tasks as assigned by the Benefits Manager

- Bachelor’s Degree preferred
- 2-3 years of related benefits or employee benefits administration experience
- Strong FMLA background
- Experience adhering to benefits and leave compliance
- Excellent Customer Service skills with attention to detail
