Communication and Events Assistant

A financial services firm in the heart of downtown Boston is seeking a polished and professional assistant for the Communication and Events department. This department is the center of all event planning, public relations, and community activism; they are heading into their busiest season and need some additional support!

This role will be responsible for administrative duties plus coordinating and planning events. Greeting clients, answering phones, scheduling and calendar management will be part of the day-to-day duties of this high profile position. As part of helping to plan events, the assistant will also help to research venues; get mailing lists together, contact attendees, and other tasks as needed.
We are seeking a candidate with one year of office support experience who is polished, reliable, and a stellar multi-tasker.

Candidates must be very comfortable with Microsoft Outlook and its scheduling capabilities. Due to the nature of this role, we need someone who is poised and professional in front of VIP clients, and able to work independently in a corporate setting.
This is a great opportunity for someone looking to get into events and/or hospitality. This position will primarily be a 9-5 role, but for certain events may be invited to attend events outside of office hours to lend a helping hand.
