HR Assistant, Major University

Our Department of Sciences has an immediate opening & need for an HR Assistant.  As one of the more established universities in Boston, this position offers great exposure to all facets of HR along with the ability to work alongside dynamic professionals. Polished administrative experience is a must as you will manage the front desk area by answering phones, sending emails, filing, and handling any faculty questions or concerns.  Strong customer service skills are also a plus as you will interact with faculty and students on a consistent basis both in person and by phone & email.  This position is a full time opportunity with competitive salary and benefits.


Duties:
- Track and manage the calendar for 5 to 7 faculty members
- Maintain the front desk area and serve as the face of the HR Department
- Respond to faculty/student questions and concerns via phone and email
- Preparing and composing offer letters and on-boarding paperwork for new hires
- Utilizing MS Office Applications including Word, Outlook, and Powerpoint
- Complete Administrative tasks such as data entry, filing, and paperwork preparation

Requirements:
- 1-2 years’ experience in office environment, preferably in an HR setting
- Bachelor’s Degree preferred
- Strong knowledge of MS Office
- Excellent organizational skills
- Strong communication skills both written and verbal
