HR Generalist, Investment Firm

We are a rapidly growing Investment Firm with an immediate opening for an HR Generalist in our Boston office as the previous Generalist was recently promoted.  The Generalist is the main HR point of contact for all 86 employees in Boston with support coming from the HR team in New York.  We are looking for someone who is a self-starter with a proactive approach to completing tasks which include full-cycle benefits, recruiting, and employee relations.  This position also requires partnering with the HR team to develop and implement policies and procedures as well as make sure that all policies comply with state and federal laws.  The ideal candidate will be looking for growth into a Junior Business Partner down the road.

- Manage employee lifecycle process including recruitment, onboarding, and orientation
- Develop, recommend, and implement HR policies and procedures as well as ensure all are in compliance with federal and state laws.
- Work closely with department managers on employee relation concerns
- Ensure proper updating & maintenance of employee records occurs in the HRIS system
- Identify benefits packages that best fit each employee
- Administrative duties as dictated by HR team

- Bachelor’s Degree preferred, ideally in Human Resources or Business Administration
- 2-3 years’ experience in an HR Generalist capacity; previous payroll experience a plus
- Familiarity with 401k plans and related reporting
- Diligent work ethic with a positive, upbeat attitude
