Medical Assistant for HEDIS Abstraction

 

One of PSG’s longest standing clients has an immediate need for a Medical Assistant to join their team as a HEDIS Abstractor.  We are ideally seeking someone who has recently received their M.A certificate, and has previous experience working in a medical office, or hospital setting.  This is an excellent opportunity to work alongside seasoned clinical professionals, and gain valuable experience in the medical field!

 

The HEDIS Abstractor will be responsible for:

·         Collecting member records and conducting reviews by contacting the providers office

·         Following up on all requested medical records, and conducting research on internal claims

·         Extracting necessary data such as test dates, overall diagnosis, etc.

·         Attend any required trainings to stay current on HEDIS practices

 

We are seeking a recently certified Medical Assistant to fill this role.  The candidate should have daily access to a vehicle, as the office is not accessible by the MBTA.  1 year of previous experience in a medical office or hospital is required to be considered for this position.
