Program Coordinator - Grant Accounting


We are one of the most reputable universities located right in Boston and are looking to add a program coordinator to our accounting staff. This candidate should have previous responsibilities handling grant accounting with both pre and post award experience. Our institution is growing at a rapid pace so this is a newly created position within our college of engineering. You'll be joining a staff of 4 with a culture that thrives on teamwork and humility.
 

Responsibilities Include:
• Assisting with the management and oversight of $35M in grants and contracts.
• Coordinate post award/program support within the College of Engineering and function as part of a team of grant administration professionals.
• Work closely with the grant administrator to review and track spending, create financial projections, and process payroll distribution changes
• Tracking research assistant's effort, assist with purchasing and travel reimbursement processing, in addition to other program coordination projects/tasks.
• Partner with the grant administrators in document formatting for proposal development during busy times in pre-award.
• Ad-Hoc Projects included such as developing and implement policies and procedures in the college to assist with establishing a college level grant administration office.
 

Requirements:
• 1+ year of grant accounting experience
• Basic understanding of federal/University grant operations, rates and regulations along with knowledge of relevant government regulations and university accounting procedures preferred.
• Strong computer skills, particularly spreadsheet software and databases
• Analytical skills, strong orientation to detail, ability to manage/prioritize multiple projects
• Strong interpersonal communication skills
