A Large Property Management Firm seeking a strong Senior Property Accountant to join growing staff on a permanent full-time basis. This organization has a strong portfolio of mixed use properties with a strong specialty within residential real estate. The Ideal candidate will have 3 - 6 years of residential experience and experience working within Yardi. The Senior Property Accountant is responsible for preparing, processing, reviewing and evaluating the financial transactions concerning his/her assigned properties. The purpose of this position is to ensure the accuracy of all financial data related to those properties and to recommend actions which will enhance the financial performance of the properties.
Other responsibilities include:
- Reviews each property's monthly financial statements for accuracy prior to the month end closing.
- Compares the accounts receivable posted by the Property Managers in Yardi to the Bank activity on-line to ensure that all deposits are posted correctly.
- Prepares the audit work paper package for each assigned property, consisting of information relative to each balance sheet account, and income or expense account as instructed.
This is a staple position within this group and has great potential to promote quickly from this position.
Candidate must have a degree in accounting or finance and have 3 - 6yrs of real estate experience.
